  • What is the Carhartt Field Testing program?
  • We enlist hardworking men and women to wear our clothing on the job and put it to the real test. Candidates apply at Carharttfieldtest.com Approved testers wear the product for a specified amount of time and then complete an online survey. We typically ask that tested product is returned to us at the end of the testing period.

    At this time our panel of volunteers meets our demographic testing needs but please visit us again as our expanding product offering may call for new Field Testing applicants.

  • What's my reward for participating?
  • By testing Carhartt products you have a unique opportunity to allow your voice to be heard. Your input directly impacts the development of Carhartt's best in class work wear and helps us to advance durability, comfort, and fit of our products. Most times you will be rewarded for your participation.

  • What kinds of products may I get to test?
  • Carhartt provides a full line of work wear products, including, outerwear, tops, jeans/pants, thermals, gloves, socks, belts...etc. We may ask you test a product of any of these categories.

  • Does it cost me anything to be a volunteer field tester?
  • There is no cost to you. We do not charge you for any test products, and we cover all shipping/mailing related costs. All shipping materials will be mailed/shipped to you prepaid.

  • Do I need to be a United States Resident to be a volunteer for Field Testing?
  • Yes- Unfortunately we cannot accept applicants from outside of the U.S. into our program. Legal requirements restrict us from doing so.

  • How do I change my info on my field testing profile online?
  • There are two ways to change your information in your field testing profile:
    1. Go to http://www.carharttfieldtest.com/FieldTest/ and click on the "Update your Profile" link in the left column and you can update any of your information.
    2. Email fieldtesting@carhartt.com with the new information and we will update the information in your online profile for you

  • How do I retrieve my password or username if I forget them?
  • 1. If you know which e-mail address you used for your username you can click on the link "Click here to recover a lost password" located below the log-in fields and once you enter your e-mail address you will be sent an e-mail with your password.
    2. Your e-mail address is your username. Try using your current e-mail address or the previous one. If you still can't log in please e-mail fieldtesting@carhartt.com with your name & address and we will look up the e-mail address and password for you.

  • How do I add the Field Testing Badge to my consumer reviews?
  • 1. Go to www.carhartt.com and find the product you wish to write the review about.
    2. Once you have found that product, click on the "Write a review" link.
    3. You will be taken to a login in/registration page where you will either log in or create a Consumer Review profile Enter the appropriate information and click submit at the bottom. On the following page under the "Tell other customers about yourself" section you will be able to identify yourself as a Field Tester.
    4. Once you enter this and we verify that you are in the panel a special badge will be attached to all of your product ratings-even ones submitted before you notified us of your status.

  • How can I be involved in more tests?
  • Make sure to adhere to all testing instructions and to answer recruiting surveys as well as feedback surveys before their deadlines. Provide digital pictures if asked. Provide honest and detailed feedback that gives us a clear understanding of your testing experience with that particular garment.
