Carhartt's Field Testing Program seeks to uncover valuable product feedback that can only be attained by using the product in its real working environment. We have always adhered to or surpassed industry standards in terms of fabric testing in the lab and with the Field Testing Program we are now bringing the testing experience full circle by examining how our garments perform for real men and women, employed in construction, manufacturing, farming and ranching industries (just to name a few) to put our clothing to the toughest test possible-everyday life on the job.
Field Testers receive invitations to apply for specific Field Tests that suit their demographic. If you are interested in a test you must respond to the invitation in order to have a chance of being selected to test that product.
Once chosen for a Field Test you will be notified with testing instructions and when to expect the clothing item to arrive. (Carhartt will pay for all shipping.)
Most tests involve one clothing item and last a minimum of 2 months.
Once the testing period is over you will be expected to complete an online survey regarding the product you tested as well as return the tested product so our designers can inspect it.
Field Testing feedback is used to improve current products as well as generate ideas for future opportunities; all to better serve your needs.
